Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Overview

What's New?

Having just been released as a brand-new model last year, the current VW Atlas Cross Sport carries over unchanged. Based on the three-row Atlas, this five-passenger SUV opened up the cabin to create more room inside. The roofline was also altered to give the Atlas Cross Sport its own unique and stylish design. Without the third row of seating, the Atlas Cross Sport also is a little shorter, but it's still wildly spacious inside, making for comfortable passenger seating and plenty of room for all your stuff.

Performance and Technology

Two engines are available with the new Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport. The first is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which produces 235 horsepower. To get a better sense of performance, upgrade to the 276-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6. The Atlas Cross Sport really does well with the available AWD system, as it adds to the sense of rugged adventurousness you'll want for your travels around Virginia and beyond.

As far as tech goes, you'll have a full suite of standard infotainment features, as well as plenty of driver aids in the base level. Standard touchscreen commands, smartphone integration and more start you off nicely, while plenty of upgrades for convenience and connectivity are found in the higher trims of the Atlas Cross Sport. For safety, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and forward collision mitigation are standard with some additional options offered in the other editions.
