New & Exciting Volkswagen Concepts At The New York Auto Show

Earlier this month at the New York International Auto Show Volkswagen had a number of interesting concept vehicles. One of which was the Volkswagen Atlas Tanoak Pickup Truck.

There has been a lot of buzz around the Volkswagen truck concept because it would be the first truck from Volkswagen. The Atlas Tanoak is a bold and powerful pickup concept that is powered by 276 horsepower V6 engine paired with a eight-speed automatic transmission for maximum efficiency and power. The Atlas Tanoak concept is also equipped with the 4MOTION® all-wheel-drive system to take on the roughest of roads with ease.

The Volkswagen Atlas Tanoak is inspired from the Atlas SUV that hit the road last year and is Volkswagen biggest SUV. The Atlas Tanoak would be the largest midsize pickup and is 214.1 inches long, 79.9 inches wide and 72.6 inches tall with a wheelbase of 128.3 inches. Being the first truck from Volkswagen isn't the only mind blowing feature that the Atlas Tanoak has to offer. The Atlas Tanoak features striking LED front and rear lights that stretch across the whole grille and tail gate. The Atlas Tanoak also features a unique slide out cargo rail.

While this is just a concept model at the moment we know that there are a number of Volkswagen fans who would love to hope behind the wheel. We are looking forward to seeing which Volkswagen concept models from the New York International Auto Show make it to production.
